We conduct thorough research on insect species, their habitats, ecology, and conservation needs, and undertaking special purpose projects involving insects. We also monitor programs to assess population trends, distribution, and threats to prioritize conservation efforts with respect to insect diversity

Education and Awareness
We are continuously raising awareness about the importance of insects and the need for their conservation. We regularly write scientific articles on insects, deliver scientific talks in rural as well as urban areas, conduct insect walks for citizens and develop educational programs, workshops, and camps to engage the public, schools, and communities. We also conduct online courses on basic and advanced entomology.

These techniques involve use of biological control species, modifying the habitat or environment of the pest species to get rid of the pests on a long-term basis by causing minimum damage to the environment, conducting economic entomology sessions to educate people about which insects are beneficial or harmful to our crops. We encourage the public to adopt sustainable gardening practices that support insect habitats. We conduct need-based training for the pest management sector, training for the use of beneficial insects in waste disposal problems. We also conduct medical entomology sessions to educate people about insects which are vectors of certain diseases or insects which can directly affect our health by causing allergic reactions through their bites, stings and what we can do to prevent it.

We engage the public in insect conservation efforts through citizen science initiatives like using the non-destructive method for data capture. We encourage people to report insect sightings, participate in data collection, and contribute to research projects. We involve schools and colleges and open forums for their participation in insect conservation initiatives locally and globally.
